Clare Callow
Global Tree Conservation Projects Manager

I manage the Weston Global Tree Seed Bank programme, based at the Millennium Seed Bank at Kew’s Wakehurst.
Working across 16 countries to conserve endangered, endemic and useful tree and shrub species, the programme has been running since 2015. This current phase is moving from collecting seeds for conservation and research, into a position where we are utilising the collections we have made, for restoration, and where we can scale up native seed supply to enhance our conservation impact.
I also lead the work of the Millennium Seed Bank Partnership in Madagascar, which is currently focussed on delivering the Weston Global Tree Seed Bank: Unlocked programme.
