Spending time in nature is one of the most effective ways to support both physical and mental well-being.

Our 1 hour community well-being walks provide an opportunity for individuals to enjoy nature in a supportive and welcoming environment. Participants can explore Wakehurst alongside our trained guides, with opportunities to meet new people and chat with our friendly volunteers.

These walks are ideal for anyone seeking a well-being boost in the beautiful setting of Wakehurst's Gardens, Mansion, and Millennium Seed Bank.

We plan our walks with accessibility in mind, including wheelchair-friendly routes and quieter spaces where needed. Let us know what would support you best—we’re committed to making your visit comfortable and enjoyable.

How to register

We welcome referrals from charities, community organisations, social prescribers, and health and well-being services. Friends, family members, support workers, and carers are also welcome to join free of charge. Group bookings are encouraged for 1pm sessions.

We can only accommodate a limited number of people per tour, so registering is essential. Please register in advance by emailing wakehurstcommunity@kew.org.
